The “ART” of Sniping as seen by }PsT{
A sniper is swift, silent, and deadly. There is no running, jumping, or noise made when a sniper makes his move. }PsT{ members play as snipers and we expect our guests to do the same.
The rules listed below are to help you understand what we do and don’t condone as snipers. These are not there to restrict any enjoyment of the game, but to make it fair for everyone and thus enhance everyone's enjoyment of the fight. Any player repeatedly breaking any of these rules, will be kicked (or possibly banned) if we have to tell you to stop more than twice.

}PsT{ Definitions/Rules:
Running and Gunning - No running and gunning is allowed
- Running and gunning is any movement other than crouched movement while engaging an opponent.
-- NO teleporter hopping/jumping/running.
* Examples of running and gunning include (but are not limited to):
- Backing out of the close kill mod in order to shoot an opponent
- Running into an opponent’s spot then crouching to shoot them
- Riding up an elevator and shooting an opponent
-- Going through a teleporter and immediately shooting an opponent, teles are a means of travel to get to a camping spot - no teleporter hopping to find targets!
- Jumping/running out from behind cover and then crouching to shoot
Stealth Movement - Some stealth movement is allowed
- Stealth movement is silent movement: If your foot steps or translocation can be heard, you are not moving stealthfully.
* Examples of when stealth movement would be acceptable:
- Moving after you have been seen/found to another nearby camping spot. However, moving to camping spot to camping spot constantly is too much movement and is not allowed.
- Moving to get a better angle on an opponent whose position has been made known to you in a team game only.
- Using stealth movement to “hunt” for opponents is not condoned. In other words, don’t go roaming the map stealthy like “looking” for other players.
Elevator/Teleporter Camping - Watching an elevator or teleporter from a distance is allowed
- An elevator/teleporter is just like a window or a door. If you choose to move to a different location through a teleporter or up an elevator and die doing it, that’s just too darn bad. You move at your own risk!
- It is illegal to camp inside a teleporter
Spawn Killing - Spawn protection exists to ensure that all players spawning in get a fair shot at finding a camping spot.
- Using either your own or an opponents’ protection to get close to and kill that player is considered a spawn kill and is un-acceptable.
- If you come across another player while spawning and finding a camping spot, it is your obligation to leave and find another spot.
Revenge Killing - Revenge killing from a distance is legal.
- There is a mod to prevent revenge kills at close range.
Telefragging - Telefragging by shooting your trans at an opponent to kill them is illegal and there is a mod to prevent this.
- Shooting a translocator that an opponent has left behind is acceptable
Image Dropping -- Image dropping is not allowed, image dropping is when your body appears to fall (but it's really not) and can be seen below your actual position (i.e. hanging off a ledge can have this affect or the lights above the pool table in Whiskey's Bar is another instance of where this can happen). If you are being told that you are image dropping, you need to move to a different spot, if you continue to image drop after being told, you could be kicked.
Communication - Excessive vulgarity, rudeness, and ANY disrespect towards other players will not be condoned and will get you kicked, possibly banned.

- Please use care when questioning a }PsT{ member's decision. (You may not deserve to be kicked for your actions, but you can be kicked/banned for your choice in how you handle it)
